James McManis is our Clinic Director, and has worked with families and supporting children in the Gympie community for the past 12 years. James has a Master of Forensic Mental Health and is currently completing his Master of Clinical Psychology. He is also a registered STAP Supervisor and Advanced NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.

James has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults living with intellectual disability in various settings, such as schools, private practice, community mental health, and disability services. As a result of his work in the Sunshine Coast region, he has also built strong professional relationships with doctors, paediatricians, psychiatrists, and other service providers.

In the therapy room James is helpful, down to earth, and approachable. His therapy superpower is building genuine connections with his clients and their families, so they feel comfortable and safe to talk about anything. 

James is passionate about helping clients find a sense of inner peace that equips them with a new found resilience to overcome future challenges and find a sense of acceptance.
