Madison holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and brings extensive experience to her practice. She has experience offering therapeutic and assessment services in schools, private practice, and community mental health settings, including Child and Youth Mental Health Service and Child Development Service. Madison has transitioned to private practice to foster a better work-life balance, allowing more quality time with her young family.

In the therapy room, Madison is known for her warm, approachable, and down-to-earth manner. She creates a safe and relaxed environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings to foster meaningful change.

Madison’s primary goal is to ensure that every client feels valued and truly understood. Her therapy superpower lies in her ability to skilfully identify core issues and collaborate with clients to develop practical, realistic treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. Madison incorporates evidence-based interventions from multiple therapeutic frameworks, including attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and Gottman Method for couples. Her broad expertise allows her to effectively support children, teens, and their families.

Madison also offers cognitive assessments for children. These assessments help identify learning difficulties, developmental delays, and other cognitive issues, providing valuable insights for creating effective treatment and educational plans.

Lastly, Madison has completed additional training in Gottman Method couples’ therapy. The principles of this approach are universally beneficial for working with children and families, focusing on emotional awareness and regulation, communication skills, and conflict resolution. Madison’s interest in relational dynamics is highlighted by her published research on early life attachment and cognitive schemas, relationship satisfaction, wellbeing, and burnout.
