Juanita Brook

Juanita is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar. She completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of the Sunshine Coast and previous psychology related degrees at Deakin University in Melbourne.

Juanita has worked as a psychologist and in crisis support across multiple settings including Private Practice, Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS), Student Wellbeing (UniSC), Nambour State School, Thompson Institute Psychology Clinic, Lifeline, and Sands Australia.

 Juanita uses a tailored approach with evidence-based interventions from multiple therapeutic frameworks.

Her warm, friendly, and compassionate therapeutic style is suited to adults, adolescents, and children. She is confident in working with a diverse range of difficulties, including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment difficulties, emotional regulation, social and communication difficulties.

Juanita's psychological flexibility, work-life balance, and appreciation of individual differences have been fortified by her experiences as a mother, caring for three neurodiverse children. Juanita understands that life can fluctuate unexpectedly and is an advocate for prioritising your own mental health. Accordingly, she enjoys working with parents and carers to promote their own health while they help others. 

With a background as a corporate senior manager for top-tier international firms, Juanita has continued to work in the corporate sector to help clients achieve career goals and strengthen their well-being.
